Outlook 2007 Email client settings

 The instructions on this page are for customers with their own domain name who have POP mail with Spiral. Contact the office if you do not know your password.

To setup a new account:

  1. Open Outlook 2007
  2. Click the Tools menu, and select Account Settings...
  3. On the E-mail tab, click New...
  4. Tick the box next to 'Manually configure server settings or additional server types'. Click Next
  5. If you are prompted to Choose E-mail Service, select Internet Email Connect to your POP3, IMAP, or HTTP server and click Next.
  6. Your Name - enter your name (as you would like it to appear in the  "From" field of your outgoing messages)
  7. Email Address - enter your email address (eg.name@yourdomain.co.nz)
  8. Account Type - Select POP3
  9. Incoming mail server - enter mail.spiral.co.nz
  10. Outgoing mail server (SMTP) - enter your ISP outgoing mail server e.g. smtp.vodafone.co.nz
  11. User Name - Enter your username (same as your email address)
  12. Enter your password
  13. Click 'Test Account Settings'
  14. If you receive an error message, please re-check your settings by following these instructions again.
  15. Click Next
  16. Click Finish
  17. Click Close

That's it - you've finished configuring your email client to send and retrieve your email messages.
