Web Tips and Internet Savvy for people in business

July’s newsletter is a little late because I have been in the Middle East -  I was in Haifa and left just hours before the rockets arrived. Lebanese blogs, is a link to some interesting blogs about this conflict.

Travelling and getting Internet access can often be a little difficult, Internet access is almost impossible in Israel and Turkey unless you stay at 5 star hotels (I didn’t). In addition the Turkish GSM network does not have the capabilities ours has, so while we can PXT and send emails etc. here in NZ, this was impossible for me in Istanbul.
 
Observing how other cultures/countries use technology is an interest of mine and once again I was reminded of how we, in New Zealand, are very technologically savvy.

I have just two tips and a link this month. I hope they are useful for you.

Traveling via Singapore?

Changi airport has FREE internet booths in the transit mall/terminal. These are easy to use and you can look at your web based email or catch up on the news at www.bbc.co.uk or The New York Times
